Hi, I'm Sarah J 

I believe that when seeking wellness, it is so important to remind ourselves, that we are all on our own journey. We all face adversities and setbacks in one way or another.

There is no one size fits all approach to wellness and no one has it all figured out, but if we can learn to listen to our own bodies intuition,  pick ourselves up and use these experiences as opportunities for growth and  redirection, we will be in the best position to overcome our health challenges to experience a happier and healthier life. The last decade has taught me many valuable lessons about what it means to be well.

My interest in health began as a teenager through struggles with body image and disordered eating tendencies. What started as an obsession with weight loss developed into a focus on overall health, leading me to adopt a balanced approach to wellbeing. It took years of battling detrimental behaviours, an unhealthy mindset, and physical symptoms for me to shift my focus to whole-body wellness.
It all began whilst working my first job in the hospitality industry, I came to realise how much I enjoyed cooking and learning about nutrition and health.

I began studying remedial massage therapy and nutritional science, which deepened my understanding and appreciation for the marvel that is our body and its optimal functioning. I then began working at a health food shop, where I was presented with an opportunity to receive training as an advanced Australian Bush Flower Essences practitioner.

At the time, I considered this to be of little value because my approach to health had always been purely physical. I believed that being healthy was a simple mathematical equation: providing your body with the right nutrition and engaging in appropriate exercise would yield the desired outcome.

Man, was I wrong! Emotional health is an absolutely essential piece of the puzzle when it comes to seeking wellness. As I started treating myself, my family, and my friends, I was repeatedly amazed by the remarkable healing capacity of these remedies.

This newfound understanding led me to experiment with other modalities, such as kinesiology and emotional freedom technique (EFT). Recognizing the profound connection between emotional wellbeing and physical health was a complete game changer for me.

It proved to be the missing link in my journey to healing my body. I began experiencing real and lasting results when I utilized treatments that addressed both my physical and emotional health. With this insight, I started to heal my disordered eating tendencies, serious gut health issues, anxiety, and long-held emotional trauma. After the arrival of my two beautiful sons, I worked from my home clinic, providing emotional balancing and remedial massage services for the next few years.

As I nourished my children, my interest in children's nutritional health grew, leading me down another exciting path. Once my children started school, I started working school hours in a canteen, honing my skills in creative healthy cooking and efficient food preparation. Being exposed to more families, I witnessed firsthand the myriad of challenges that impact people's ability to make healthy choices. 

Education, mental health, budget, awareness, disabilities... the list goes on. I started to see that where people really needed support was at a grassroots level and discovered how much I enjoyed working with individuals on a personal level, focusing on preventive health.

I decided to shift my preconceived career trajectory away from pursuing Dietetics and instead transitioned into delivering preventive health services and initiatives within the community, leveraging the skills and experience I already possessed. This decision led me to establish my own business, providing cooking services tailored to specific dietary requirements and children's health. Additionally, creating my very own children's program aimed at teaching healthy habits.

Drawing from my own previous song writing experience I knew the power of music as a healing and educational tool, so I got to work composing music with healthy lifestyle messaging to incorporate into the program.

I am now working with joy and purpose, sharing these services. With many more exciting offerings to share with you in time. 

With this new chapter... I am striving to reach more people and to create positive change with services, educational programes, resources and initiatives that target overall community health. Additionally I am to provide personalised services and resources for niche markets within my areas of expertise.
